Pre-eminent educators have found that children gain invaluable knowledge and skills by using computers from an early age. Many of our clients have also commented on the major benefits their children gained from using our recommended educational software packages and systems.

Our success is dependent on keeping you and your families happy by providing a service that strives to achieve:
  • excellence in teaching,
  • value for money,
  • a fun environment,
  • encouraging a life-long love of learning,
  • a vision for children of what technology can bring to education,
  • and what it can do to equip them for a successful future.

Mobile Classroom

Wiz Kids classes are conducted at childcare centres and preschools in our mobile computer classroom by trained staff. We are equipped with five desktop computers, quality educational software (some 60 packages), and curriculum that has been developed locally.

Essentially, the lessons utilise:
  • multi-media computers, where Children will continue to use a mouse, load their own CDs, operate their computers, and keyboard and from time to time, print their work,
  • an educationally based curriculum that develops social, academic and computer skills in a stimulating and enjoyable environment,
  • specially trained staff who are qualified educationalists that understand computers and children! The same ratio of 1 experienced teacher to a maximum of 10 children,
  • the best educational software - carefully selected, interactive multimedia programs in a constantly updated library, with activity sheets provided after each class,
  • competitive rates to make it affordable for as many families as possible,
  • courses consisting of various eight to twelve-week units, for 30-40 minutes a week.

Wiz Kids Education is 100% Australian owned and operated by me, and as a leader in this field, I look forward to continuing to provide the best in computer based learning to children.

Safety Guidelines

We enforce the following safety rules to ensure our students welfare and enjoyment:

  • Children should walk inside, and to and from the van, and should do so holding hands in pairs.

  • Children and staff must use the handrail when entering and leaving the van.

  • Children will be encouraged to walk straight to their seats on entering van, and to choose their own partners where possible.
  •
Children must sit down to use the computers, and should be encouraged to use correct posture in chairs. Staff could occasionally ask the children to ‘place their hands in laps’ so that they may listen attentively.

  • Children should be encouraged to use the mouse correctly, preferably with one hand (after initial training term). Also to share the mouse by passing to their partner’s mat after each turn.

  • Children are to be discouraged from playing with the mouse mats, and other parts of the desks, chairs or equipment. Also discourage snatching and other selfish or rough behaviour.

  • Staff and children should use ‘inside’ voices as much as practicable inside the van. Staff should take into account the children’s inevitable delight and acceptable excitement levels with many of the programs.

  • Children are only permitted to kneel on chairs to reach and open/close cd-rom drawers if asked and only with teachers standing immediately behind them and supervising this learning activity.

  • At the end of sessions, children are encouraged to sit together on the floor, with hands in laps, to listen to handouts and lesson summary.

  • Weapons, pretend weapons, violent toys and games, and food or drink are not allowed in the van. Other toys are O.K. if also permitted by the centre, but should be discouraged, particularly to avoid distraction or loss toys.

  • One staff member is to accompany a child that needs to use the toilet or that is sick during class.
  • At least one staff member/teacher will be in close proximity and within sight of students at all times, on the way to/from and during classes.
  • All Wiz Kids teachers and staff are to contribute to a fun environment to encourage a life-long love of learning!
